Koniherawati
Koniherawati is an artist from Muntilan, Mid Java. She is an alumni of the Indonesian Art Institute of Jogjakarta, Faculty of Art and Design, Graphic Design Department [1989] and also studied ceramics in Jakarta and Bandung, West Java [1003-1994]. In 1996 she was Runner-Up in the “Wall Ceramics Design with Ethnic Indonesian Nuances” competition, Jakarta, Indonesia.
In 2001/2002 her artwork “Hierarchy” exhibited at Seniwati Gallery in Ubud-Bali and CCF (Cultural Council of France) in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. Her next solo exhibition in 2005 was “Free within the Frame” exhibited at Red Mill Gallery, Vermont Studio Center - Johnson, Vermont, USA. At the same time she was the Winner of the 11th Asia Artist Fellowship by the Freeman Foundation for VSC (Vermont Studio Center), Johnson, Vermont, USA.
Her artworks have published and exhibited at several galleries and museums in Indonesia [Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Sulawesi/Celebes, Bali], during 1999 to 2007.
Since 2005-present, she is a lecturer in Product Design Department, Faculty of Engineering, Duta Wacana Christian University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
